Aldec Signs Agreement with POSDATA
Riviera-Pro™ HDL simulation environment to support POSDATA WiMAX product development
Henderson, Nevada – March 5, 2007 -- Aldec, Inc., a pioneer in mixed-language simulation and advanced design tools for ASIC and FPGA devices, today announced it has signed an agreement to deliver Riviera-Pro™ simulation environment to POSDATA (KOSDAQ:022100.KQ), a major Mobile WiMAX communication provider in Korea. POSDATA will use the Riviera-Pro environment for development of new WiMAX products for consumer applications.
The Riviera-Pro simulation environment runs on Windows®, Linux® and SUN® workstations and supports VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, SystemC and assertions (PSL, OVA and SVA). The product executes on 32 and 64-bit machines to provide maximum capacity for the largest IC design requirements at POSDATA. The mixed language verification environment assures the fastest simulation runs for all designs, regardless of source, language or target silicon, including those with embedded devices.

The delivered Riviera-Pro 2007.02 simulator included powerful performance improvements. It speeds SystemC compilation up to 5 times, Verilog compilation up to 2 times and VHDL compilation up to 2.5 times over the previous release. Verilog simulation speedup of 150% to 200% is now possible with the optimized Verilog simulator feature that supports behavioral constructs to provide substantial performance gains for behavioral, gate and timing simulations.
